Question by Sean J: what is the point health insurance?
the people who run these companies have worse souls than hitler, and if you get sick then they will just deny your claim, so what is the point of this. i just think we should just make government control health insurance (weather its communisty or not ) and put the health insurance ceos to jail or something. the only time health insurace will actually cover you is when you have a 60$ dioctor visit, not a stroke that leaves you crippled and making you pay 20000$ a year in hospital bills.
the question is supposed to be “what is the point of health insurance”

The POINT of health insurance, is that you pay a relatively small amount every month, and MOST of the time, you don’t need it. BUT, if something big and bad happens to you, then the insurance company will pay for the LARGE claim.
Insurance companies only deny your claim, if 1. you tried to pull a fast one on them by passing off an old condition, as something new or 2. you bought cheap coverage, and don’t have coverage for the care you want. BUYERS ERROR.
Insurance is already the most heavily regulated industry there is.
Government ALREADY controls health insurance, and you don’t like it. Medicare is actually BROKE, come 2011, and has been operating in the red for the past two years.
When Americans start growing up, and start accepting responsibility for their OWN health, and health CARE, then medical costs will go down. As long as you “try to get your money’s worth” out of insurance, then YOU are one of the reasons costs are spiraling upwards out of control.
